Space Bloom 2 - 6"x6" Acrylic Fluorescent original painting on wood panel

$150.00

“Space Bloom 2” part of a series of 3, is a 6”x6” wood panel painted with fluorescent acrylic paint and glow-in-the-dark paint to reveal a spectacularly vibrant piece under a UV blacklight, or even in normal sunlight. The concept behind the “Space Bloom” series stems from the theory that mushrooms may have come from another galaxy, potentially stemming life on earth from life on another planet that existed an inconceivable amount of time in the past. Fungi spores are a fascinating thing. While it may just be a theory that mushrooms are from another galaxy millions or billions of years ago, it’s still fascinating to look at them now.
